Biography - Jonatan Jatombliansky
Jonatan Jatom was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He picked up the guitar during his high school years and decided to become a professional musician and educator. He attended the "Escuela de Musica Popular de Avellaneda" and "Conservatorio Manuel de Falla" simultaneously studying contrabass. Soon after high school, he became a musician for "Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines" playing electric bass. Being this his only chance to earn the sufficient amount of money to make his dream come true, he completed 2 contracts of six and four months, respectively, and moved to New York City. In the big apple, Jonatan worked as an instructor and tutor for CUNY while attending New York City College. Although playing and recording opportunities presented constantly, Jonatan decided to continue his career at San Diego State University where he will obtain his Jazz Performance degree in 2011. Now in San Diego, Jonatan's career is focused primarily on educating and recording.
