Biography - Kattie Kinnaman
Katie Kinnaman has played piano and taken piano lessons for the past 18 years. She has been very active as a church pianist for the past 17 years, and has also played for several musical theater productions and city functions, accompanied school choirs, and taught piano lessons in the Riverside, L.A., Orange, and San Diego Counties throughout her musical career.
She has a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from the Biola Conservatory of Music in LA County where she spent a great deal of her time accompanying vocalists, instrumentalists, and choirs. She has completed the coursework for the Master of Arts degree in Piano Pedagogy at SDSU, and plans to graduate on completion of her thesis in 2010.
She currently teaches children's group lessons and beginning class piano courses to college music majors at SDSU, as well as piano lessons at the Boys and Girls Club in San Dieguito.
She absolutely loves teaching students of all ages how to play the piano well, and likes to create a fun, musical, and interactive learning environment for her students. She is excited to be a part of the RMC team!
