Studio Policy:
Please read over RMC's studio policies, especially those regarding payment and attendance.
Registration and Payment
- RMC bills all of our customers based on a 10-week billing "session". There are four sessions throughout the calendar year. These sessions do not reflect a beginning or end to students' lessons they simply break up the yearly tuition costs into manageable payment periods.
- RMC has an open enrollment policy, allowing students to register and start lessons at their convenience. New students are invoiced at a pro-rated price based on the number of classes remaining in the session for which they are registering. For example, if a student starts lessons on the fourth week of a current session they will only be billed for the remaining 6 lessons of the 10-week billing session. Click the following link to view our billing session and Holiday calendar: RMC's Session/Holiday Schedule 2011-2012
- RMC accepts the following forms of payment: cash, checks, credit/debit (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover). A $20 fee applies to each bounced check.
- All tuition invoices are due upon receipt or at the next scheduled lesson unless other arrangements have been made at the time of registration.
- Payment plans are also available. To arrange to pay an invoice in two or more installments, please contact David Gereghty via e-mail (david@recreationalmusiccenter.com) or reach him by phone at 619-225-9597.

Personal Goals and Practice Requirements
- RMC does not have a practice requirement. We are here to help YOU meet YOUR goals. Therefore, the amount of time you spend practicing will be suggested to you by your teacher based on the goals you have communicated to us; we will hold you to these until and unless you communicate to us that your goals have changed. On-going communication between teacher and student (and/or parent) is critical!
Friday Night Live
Friday Night Live is RMC's community "jam night" held each Friday from 6-7:30pm September-mid June (excluding holidays). It is open to RMC students as well as the public. Students may invite family and friends and are encouraged but not required, to perform as a soloist or as part of a group. We encourage everyone to attend even if you are not performing.
